The baumer Cable-pull (5000 mm) are easy to mount, and are extremely reliable encoders even in the toughest applications like telescopic machine arms, elevating platforms, cranes, and other heavy duty vehicles. It has a compact housing made of aluminum, and a robust cable-pull made of stainless steel cable coated with polyamide and can measure up to 5000 mm (50 meters). The cable is 1 mm in diameter, with a Pull-out force of ≤16 N, and Pull-in force of >4 N. It has a distance/revolution of 315.07mm, linearity between 0.01 to 0.02% amd was an optimum service life of 1mio. strokes.

The rotary incremental encoder from SICK comes with EIA 422 compliant incremental and commutation signals. It also offers a resolution of 2048 lines per revolution. The commutation signals it produces has a maximum of 32 pole pairs. Moreover, the device's line count, pole pair, and zero pulse width are individually programmed. The device also has high shock and vibration resistance, and eccentricity errors from holistic scanning is compensated by the system.

The output driver operates on EIA 422 standards with incremental and commutation signals in mind. It operates at up to 65,536 lines per revolution and can use 32 pole pairs at a time. The temperatures go from -20 to 115 Celsius and can interact with many mechanical devices.

It has been proven to fit in with most feedback systems and will operate in the same way regardless of the model being used. Electrical adjustments are not required either. The synchronous motors also provide a better feedback control system.
