The CSI 2140 is a series of vibration analyzers and data collectors from Emerson consisting of four-passage monitoring. It enables you to diagnose the primary actors of the most challenging tool issues and features a glove-friendly touch display along with an automatic light sensor for full view of habitat lighting. The rear-lit keypad permits a consistent operation of the section in the most dark surroundings.

The CSI 2140 is approved as per IP65 and can resist the dirty and damp habitats. Additionally the wire-free relay of the information to the analyst for gathering and examining the performance. It also receives a broad series of sensors like one-axis accelerometers along with in-built electronics as well as reverse electronics and triaxial velocimeter.

When used with an mV/g IEPE accelerometer, the Dytran 4151HL true RMS vibration meter is able to give the root mean square value of a machines vibration level or any other sort of test structure. A precision taut band, a moving-coil meter that is present on the meter's front will display the level of vibration. A 0 to 10 Volt DC signal which is analogous to vibration level, facilitates remote monitoring using a DC DVM. The vibration meter has a built-in 4 mA constant current power source for the IC in the IEPE sensors. The model has a true RMS to DC converter IC chip to calculate the RMS value of sinusoidal or other waveforms. There is no average reading meter that has been calibrated to read in RMS.

The Dytran model 4190 provides the front-panel mounted “Bias-Test” push-button. When this switch is depressed, the front panel meter displays the voltage bias of the IEPE accelerometer connected to the 4190. This voltage, which may vary dependent on the IEPE accelerometer chosen, will be in the range of 9 to 12 Volts DC for normal operation. This verifies that the accelerometer is powered and is behaving normally. Compare this reading with the manufacturer supplied data sheet for the bias voltage supplied by the two batteries, in series (approximately 18 VDC). Additional circuitry provides low battery indication in the form of a red LED on the front panel and a “Normal Operation” green LED which indicates that the accelerometer is connected and is performing normally.
