A key difference is that BALTECH VP-3405 measures only vibration velocity, and BALTECH VP-3405-2 measures overall vibration, including velocity, acceleration and displacement of vibration.
The BALTECH VP-3405(-2) resembles a ball-point pen, and thus is referred as vibration pen. It does not have any external vibration sensor, but wired mounting. The vibration sensor is fixed inside. Measurable vibration is sent with a probe and vibration measurement is performed. BALTECH VP-3405(-2) is a touching detection object with a fixed vibration sensor.
