Laser beam combiner - Dual Combiner™
Expect a permanently aligned beam overlap with the Cobolt Dual Combiner which is built on a stable but compact platform. This includes thermo-mechanical properties that have been optimized. Adjustments during installation or over a period of time are unnecessary. This is because it is combined with a compact and robust platform of the very small dynamical tolerances of the beams overlap (<20 urad/oC). Ar+ & Kr+ gas lasers are replaced by the Cobolt Dual Combiner as its intended usage is for laboratory equipment. When it comes to demanding bio-analytical applications, the OEM component modules can be used in laser scanning cytometry, confocal microscopy, DNA sequencing, and flow cytometry. Using RS-232 communication, the two laser lines can be individually addressed because the device footprint is only 195x65 mm.

The Laser Beam Combiner is manufactured by Cobolt. It has a solid modulated laser combiner that is permanently aligned with very high level of accuracy and stability in beam overlap. The product modulation is up to 125 Hz and the short rise time is <350 μs that comes with a maintained 3% power stability. The product is completely in dark state when it is turned off. The modulated Cobolt Dual Combiner™ is good for operations like optogenetics, where high level of power stability and control of the provided energies are needed. Lastly, the modulated version of the device provides two attractive emission wavelengths from a single box.
