GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The NIVOSWITCH compact vibrating fork level switches with parallel vibrating fork are suitable for for level detection of liquids. Mounted on silos, tanks or hopper bins it can control filling / emptying, also can generate fail-safe alarms providing overfill or dry run protection. The operation principle is based on that the electronic circuit excites a vibration in the fork probe. When the medium reaches and covers the fork, its vibration stops, when the medium leaves the fork it returns to vibrate freely. The electronics senses the change of vibration and gives output signal after a selected delay. The plastic coated version is recommended to use for aggressive mediums, the highly polished version is recommended to use for abrasive mediums.

The vibrating level switch, Pulsar-point210 is used for solid bulk applications. The frequency of oscillation changes when the solid material comes in contact with vibrating probe. The change is detected and a signal is generated to facilitate the changing relay output. Vibrating level switch / for liquids - VTK-R

In the Sitron's V-Tork Series due to a piezo-electric crystal the switch vibrates at a fixed pre-defined resonant frequency. The frequency of the switch vibrations changes when the tuning fork is submerged in the medium. This change can be seen by the unit's electronics and it gets converted into a switch output - either relay or PNP/NPN. When the V-Tork and product are in contact, the red LED in the housing blinks and this light continuously stays on even when contact with the product stops. In this way a positive indication is available at all times showing that the V-Tork is working. The model is made of 316 stainless steel with Halar or epoxy coating and hygienic fittings useful for sanitory fittings.

Whenever tuning forks are submerged mediums, vibrating frequency rates change. The changes are identified by the forks' electronics systems, and converted into switch outputs (either relay SPDT or PNP/NPN).

The V-Tork Tuning Forks are integrated with red LED indicators within their housing structures. These indicators blink whenever the devices are in contact with products. They are constantly on, ensuring users that the apparatuses are always operating.

All models of the V-Tork series are engineered out of 316-grade Stainless Steel materials. They are available in either Halar or epoxy coating finishes, complete with hygienic fittings. This allows the tuning forks to provide sanitary operations.
