FRAnalyzer (Frequency Response Analyzer) is used to ensure that windings in power transformers are not damaged due to transportation or occurrence of high currents.short circuits, , or in occurrence of highly transient fault currents and in a significant change in the monitored values (e.g. combustible gases) or a safety shutdown. Alternatively it can be used for routine transformer condition measurement and verification of unusual events determined during conventional testing. It improves transformer reliability by detection of winding defects/faults in the magnetic core reducing costs and averting costly failures.
