The model 1250B from Solarton is a frequency response analyzer that sends an definite measurement of gain and phase. The machine under test is triggered by a sinewave and the reaction determined at one, two, or more points in the system. These reactions are again compared with the stimulus to define the amplitude and phase relative to the generator. The ratio of the two calculated signals can then be applied to produce the system transport function.
