The PASI seismograph Mod. 16S-P is the ultra-light version of the popular 16S-N Series; with its great touchscreen display and internal PC, it is characterized by a very user-friendly interface; thanks to the internal software, you can set acquisition parameters, display the acquisitions and record your seismic data in a glance. The logical steps proposed for setting each kind of profile (refraction, reflection, MASW, microtremors, downhole, etc..) by the sophisticated acquisition software will allow the user to always take the situation under control.
All data are then saved on the internal hard disk, ready for the following data transfer and processing. Finally, the integrated “DOWNHOLE” software module, which is fundamental for facilitating this particular kind of acquisition (also refer to PASI Mod.GFA & DHTG borehole geophones description), is an important value added factor for the instrument.

Geophone for boreholes - DHTG

The Borehole 3D Geophones (model: DHTG), manufactured by PASI, is generally designed to fulfill even the most stringent customer requests. Its system (typically consists of a probe, a control unit, a cable with a reel, and cable clamp) is typically characterized by the possibility to obtain a reliable adhesion to borehole walls. These borehole walls are acquired through a progressive flexure of a harmonic steel spring positioned parallel to the probe.

In addition, three 10-Hz geophones, positioned according to the x-y-z axis, are contained inside the probe for determining the time of arrival of the type "s" and type "p" seismic waves.

The instrument can be used for several applications. This includes a down-hole seismic measurement, using a 3D well geophone. The cross-hole seismic measurement is combined with 3D well geophone. This consists of a P/S hole energizer, and a small seismic refraction. The MASW and Vs30 profiles comprise of special triaxial geophones. The downloaded data can be conveyed to PC through USB 2.0 connector and it has SEG-2 data output format. The GFA 60 Series manufactured by PASI is a 3D Borehole 10Hz Geophone that is used for determining the time of arrival of the types 'p' and 's' seismic waves. This device is created based on the x-y-z axis and is housed inside a cylindrical probe. It is equipped with a piston wall-clamping unit that fits the drilling of diameters ranging from 50mm up to 110mm.
