Magnetic coupling

Permanent magnetic couplings for applications transmitting mechanical power between hermetically separate zones preventing fluid or gas leakage from one area to another. A typical example would be fluid transfer pump applications. In these applications the fluid must not come into contact with the external environment.

Magnetic coupling - HSV series

The HSV series is manufactured by Gerwah, and is a magnetic hysteresis coupling which has a rigid construction, and is highly appropriate for use in bottle capping machines as well as in roll-up and unroll systems, and in test engineering. It has an outer diameter of 73 to 105 mm, which has a total length of coupling ranging from 70 to 85 mm.

Magnetic coupling - HKD series

The permanent magnetic hysteresis of the HKD series comprises of two different unsupported halves. With the help of clamping hubs, the coupling is made to connect with the shaft. The torque gets transmitted in a sliding manner which reduces downtime to a minimum. Its application is highly flexible and the torque can be adjusted with a rotor submergence.

Magnetic coupling - MKD series

The MKD series, manufactured by Ringfeder, is a permanent magnetic synchronous coupling that is composed of two separate halves which have to be supported by the customer and are then telescoped. It is fitted with hysteresis material in place of the permanent magnets. This hysteresis material has a similar effect to the permanent magnets but the polarity can be reversed with little energy input.

Magnetic coupling - MK/SV series

The MK/SV, manufactured by Ringfeder, is a synchronous coupling that features a constant rated torque level even at frequent overload cycles. The coupling is connected with the shaft by clamping sets. It also is fitted instead of the permanent magnets with hysteresis. This hysteresis effect is similar to the permanent magnet which can reverse the polarity with low energy consumption.
