These extra small turning tools cover holes down to 1 mm in diameter. With a design conceived with small part machining in mind, the performance of CoroTurn is brought down to smaller bores than ever with the CoroTurn XS tooling solutions for internal turning, threading and grooving.

Four sizes of CXS-04, -05, -06 and -07 are included in the program, each available in different lengths for use in different applications and each with inserts for a range of hole diameters. The inserts fit into boring bars which have been designed with internal cutting fluid supply. They ensure chip evacuation and sufficient cooling as the inserts are directed at the cutting edge via to nozzles. The inserts locate precisely into the boring bars, which range in diameter from 10-25.4mm, due to a locating pin.

1- edged and 2-edged CoroCut grooving and turning inserts can be used. They come with RM, TF and GM geometries. Q-Cut 151.3 can be used for small first cut diameters. Q-Cut 151.3 with 7G and 7P geometry can be used. Feed methods to be used should be normal. Check the turning of grooves.

For small diameter range, dedicated CoroCut MB and CoroTurn XS can be used. They are available with face grooving inserts and width ranges from 1.0-3.0 mm.

The unit works with a monoblock execution, which is robust and easy to handle. This comes with one spare part. It can work as a holder for swiss machining. SA modules, blades and camping blocks are also included in the unit. An active insert clamping function is also built into the model.

The unit also has double-sided inserts. An exact insert positioning can be done with a fix stop.
