Mixed-flow grooving tool - CoroCut®
It is vital to choose the right tool holder for components with axial groove. The tool holder needs to be curved so that it can be adjusted according to the groove radius which is bent. 1- edged and 2-edged CoroCut grooving and turning inserts can be used. They come with RM, TF and GM geometries. Q-Cut 151.3 can be used for small first cut diameters. Q-Cut 151.3 with 7G and 7P geometry can be used. Feed methods to be used should be normal. Check the turning of grooves.
For small diameter range, dedicated CoroCut MB and CoroTurn XS can be used. They are available with face grooving inserts and width ranges from 1.0-3.0 mm.
