Jetline seam welders are designed for all straight line, linear welding applications. They can be used to weld tubes, cylinders, cones, flat sheets, sinks, tank shells, and open ended boxes. A wide variety of materials can be welded, including aluminum, stainless steel, hastelloy, titanium, inconel, galvanized, aluminized, and other materials. Longitudinal seam welders are also known as stake bed welders, horn welders, and flat sheet welders.

The part loading tooling can be rapidly changed to accommodate different part diameters
The automatic centering device, part hold down blade, finger banks, and part loading cylinders are sequenced thru a PLC (programmable logic control) and interfaced to the included 9500 system control.
The side beam track is fitted with hardened round ways for smooth precise travel
The carriage uses hardened bearings and a precision DC motor with tach generator feedback
Linear style drive for the carriage is standard
Various speed ranges and speed holding accuracies are available
Copper backing bars and reversible copper finger tips are standard
9500 microprocessor control is standard
Because of mechanical limitations, the design of the system is unique to part length and diameter.

The seam welder is capable of welding either the external or the internal seams of cylindrical parts. When used as an external seam welder a maximum diameter of 55” (1400 mm) can be welded and the minimum external part diameter depends on the length of the seam welder. When used as an internal seam welder the machine will accommodate a 55” (1400 mm) minimum inside diameter up to any diameter that you can conveniently handle.
