This is a system of removing grit and degreasing using the longitudinal moving bridge. It is usually positioned on rails and has scrapers to collect floating elements; these are activated by a hoisting mechanism, with the possibility of installing a submersible pump for the extraction of sand accumulated in the bottom.
The following elements are included in the grit removal and degreasing system.
Footbridge- Laminated steel sections or box girder, with wire mesh. Carbon steel handrail.
Motorised equipment- Direct drive gear motor on motorised wheel with IP55 protected asynchronous electric motor.
Removal of grit- Consists of an extraction duct, grit extraction pump (with a mount for clamping) and a driver built from anti-wear material.
Removal of floating elements- This action is carried out by a double blade surface scraper (with swivelling arms and rubber bands) and a scraper operated by a hoisting mechanism.
Control elements- The Bridge is controlled by proximity detectors for when work is being carried out. There is an electrical panel to activate and control the bridge.
