Insulation monitor for medical applications - SRI3/H
The Dossena insulation surveyor SRI3/H constantly monitors the network state in BT (up to 230VAC, frequency 50-60Hz) with unearthed neutral (IT systems).
The unit is designed to control electrical systems with neutral earth found in medical locations, based on CEI EN 61557-8 and CEI EN 64-8/7 - Part 7 Section 710, and requires the constant monitoring of its ground insulation state. Isolated neutral systems do not need to protect the first earth fault as this is signaled acoustically and optically using a control device.

The metering device is manipulated electronically. It is supplied with safety-oriented, limited-current power. This facilitates exemption from conforming to stringent safety-related criteria such as EN 51091 guidelines. The object to be tested is connected to the device via its front plate. It is conducive to back plate testing too, owing to which it can be assimilated in fully automatic testing assemblies where all interfaces and connections are coursed to the back of the meter.
Insulation resistance testing is efficiently conducted by diverse high-voltage meters and multi-testers. By expanding their performance scope, these meters can also conduct this test competently.
