The MPC7447A or MPC7448 is a processor that can work for SBC or OS integration setup. The MPC7447A 1GHz microprocessor uses 512kb of L2 cache and 32kb data with parity. The MPC7448 1.4GHz processor is made with 64mb of mirror flash, 256mb or 512mb of SDRAM-DDR with ECC and a 1mb L2 cache with ECC.

The unit works at 1gb Nand Flash and can use a PPC real time clock with four 32-bit timers. The unit also has two Ethernet ports and a multipurpose serial interface. A USB2 controller may also be added alongside two high/full speed ports that are routed on the J2 setup. This is designed to make it secure and ready to work as needed.

It utilizes a commercial application setup and has a 0.8-inch slot. The SBC features a VPX-REDI setup with -40 to 85 degree Celsius temperature standards. This device is compatible for use with an FR 331/306 VPX switch. The I/O interfaces are designed to work with many OpenVPX profiles.
