The E3 series, which comes from the Vise Action line of compression latches, is created to align the pawl and tighten it in a single half-turn movement. It operates through a compression action that gives 6.4 mm (.25") pull-up. The pull-up motion is suitable for sealing in gasketed programs. Also, it reduces disturbance due to vibration.
The product provides an over-center latching, which prevents accidental opening due to shock. The compression latch is offered in six body styles, that is suitable for holding different panel thicknesses. It utilizes a simple knob handling and styles for fast access. Also, the product series is integrated with more than 45 key and tool-stimulated options.

The door is pulled tightly shut with a compressive action that eliminates any rubbing or wearing on the frame or pawl. The handle conveniently pops up with the use of a push button. It is suitable for IP66 and NEMA 4 applications with the used of an optional flange gasket for installation. Grip adjustments are easily done with the use of a threaded adjusting screw and jam nut. It is easily installed in a single rectangular hole. Its design is flush-mount so the fasteners are not protruding.
