The MT-2000/MT-2078 is a motorized microscope translator system including multiple platforms for manipulators and specimen. Two general styles are available. In the classic design (MT-2000), an independent stand, the MT-75 is used for each manipulator and a similar stand, the MT-150 holds the tissue chamber. A new style (MT-2078) uses a single large, fixed stage, the MT-78-FS, to support multiple manipulators and the sample. The classic MT-2000 features free-standing columns that provide rock solid mounting for the tissue recording chamber and multiple micromanipulators. Many prefer this methodology as it maximizes working room for adjusting the microscope and changing pipettes. Furthermore, the independent stand design minimizes movement-related cross talk between manipulators. The MT-2078 single stage has the advantage that it is easy to add additional manipulators and other devices into the design as the manipulator/chamber support is one large platform.

The 3DMS is a motorized translation stage with sub-micron precision that is capable of converting a conventional Stutte MP-285 manipulator into the 3-dimensional motorized stage. It consists of a manipulator and stage that can be installed on an MT-75 gantry stand located next to an upright microscope. This machine can also installed to any MD series that has an inverted microscope connected to it. Constructed in a miniature structure, the 3DMS enables users and devices to be utilized at the same time. Due to the 3DMS's three-axis manipulator feature, an integrated focusing device, that is usually required on various X-Y locations wherein images are immediately obtained, is installed. This equipment is highly durable to be used in experiments intolerant of pipette drifts.

Its modular design features free-standing columns that provide solid mounting for tissue recording chamber with multiple micro-manipulators. The columns are positioned around a movable table that provides X-Y translation of optical pathway to view multiple locations within chamber at high resolution. It maximizes working room for adjustment of microscope and changing pipettes.

Standard micrometers 9S75M are used as driving screws and the stages 7T173 allow manual linear motion. The device offers tracking and reading accuracy of 2um and 5um respectively. With sensitivity of 1um the instrument has the horizontal load capacity of 10 kg and vertical load capacity of 5kgs. Screws are also manufactured based on customer specification such as the non-matching travel range to save space. To ensure high resolution, low backlash, smooth and accurate motion a platform is preloaded via a spring against the driving screw. 2CP173 - 20 connecting plate for stacking the narrow stages in X-Y motion. An array of mounting holes on a platform and on a base allow a variety of convenient mounting options, including mounting on Altechna Posts. For quick X-Y assembly and for Z (7T173- 10; 7T173 -20) stages may be stacked (see drawings) using connecting cones 3CC4 (7.1 holes with fixing screws on the sides are provided). We ensure reliability by using the X-Y-Z construction along Z axis that can be connected to the X-Y assembly by angle bracket 2AB173.
