Edge honing machine - IBX-12

The machine has been designed for edgehone inserts and for similar components. The machine, integrated with several electric components, comprises of bare and full enclosure. The machine has a rotary table that offers 12 workpiece spindles in 4 each group. the rotary table indexes 120 degrees with the help of a servo motor. The table is made to suspend with heavy duty ball bearing which offers a high amount of rigidity. The 12 workpieces are driven with the help of three servo motors. Each motor takes care of every spindle group. This makes it possible to rotate or index components to acquire the accurate honing. The honing process is performed by two independent brushing stations. Each brush is driven with the help of a 4 kW motor that ensures speed adjustments.

Its edge-honing cost per insert is reduced tenfold when compared to conventional methods. The machine is ideal for all available types of inserts with existing geometrical shapes. There is no restriction on the size or shape of the edge which needs honing. Every insert can be made within tolerances, scrapping of inserts is non-existent. It has a high production rate and clean working environment for operating, and noise and dust are at minimum levels. Consistent quality of inserts is maintained and no additives are required.
