GE's Masoneilan butterfly control valves are useful for economically controlling low pressure throttling applications requiring tight shut-off. Combining the characteristics of an elastomeric lined valve with moderate throttling control accuracy, the valves include a resilient seat and high capacity functionality.

Designed for low torque applications, the valves reduce installation costs by requiring a smaller actuator size and thus resulting in a smaller, lighter valve package. The smaller actuator size also results in better control and reduced process variability by improving throttling responsiveness.

GE's Masoneilan butterfly control valves help in reducing downtime and maintenance costs due to their field-replaceable reinforced liner construction.

The high performance butterfly valve delivers heavy-duty,
automatic throttling control flow to applications involving
large flow rates and moderate pressure drops. It combines two
basic features of the high performance valve types:
a PTFE, RTFE, or metal seal ring that reduces seal friction and operating
torque, delivering increased performance over standard valves.
Low torque, double offset disc improves control and reduces seal wear
on longer operating cycles, reducing maintenance.
Rugged guiding supports long-term shut-off and throttling accuracy.
The flangeless, or single flanged construction option reduces size
and weight, simplifying installation and piping requirements.
High Cv ratings support high capacity capability at low pressure differentials.

When located on the low pressure or suction side of various mechanisms, these modernized Weir SPM butterfly valves are a dependable flow control gate. A smoother flow of media is provided by these valves. Turbulence is greatly minimized, if not eliminated altogether. The split steam feature creates and even disc seal and helps the device to automatically center itself in the media flow path. Seats on this device are anchored in place using a single piece phenolic back up ring. There are a variety of disk and seat models on offer.

The BV26000 Metalseal is a Metalseal Double Offset High Performance valve and meets the ANSI Class IV leakage requirement. The Metalseal Butterfly Valve is utilized in different applications where high operating temperatures prevent the use of elastomer or polymeric seals though an excellent shut-off is still needed here.

The Metalseal Valve is designed to be naturally safe from fire. It features a shut-off to ANSI/FC I-70-2 class IV, but the class V can be provided depending on size, temperature and working pressure.
