OMEGA created a series of stainless steel welded construction thermowells that are built to be utilized with 6mm or 1/4" diameter thermocouple in addition to PT100 sensors. It is highly recommended for implementations where the sensor has to be discarded without disrupting the operation like those in pipes and tanks. The measurement of the insertion length begins from the base of the threads up to the tip of the thermowell. Omega has produced thermowells with a huge variety of lengths, fittings, materials as well as diameters. A separate data sheet is provided to browse the standard models available for purchase.

The fine gauge single strand thermocouple wire manufactured by OMEGA is available in reels of various sizes, between 15 and 300 meters. Each of the reels represents a single conductor, while the wire diameter ranges from 0.07mm to 0.81mm.

Note that the wire is covered by extruded PFA insulation, whose thickness is 0.08mm. Wire sizes greater than 0.25mm require a thickness for the insulation of about 0.2mm. So buy now and enjoy the best quality available on the market.

Common extension types of wire are transformed into common multipair cables. The conductor is blanketed with a polyvinyl shell that is a modest 0.38 mm (0.015") thick and the pairs are twisted individually. After that, Mylar clear tape is used to embrace the the clusters of twisted pairs. A strong drain wire is placed over the bundle, which is then covered with a aluminum style Mylar tape to act as a static electro shield.

The drain wire offers basic mechanical termination for the shield and the jacket of polyvinyl measuring 1.1 mm (0.045") thick is then used as a cover.

Conax makes standardized wells in many connection forms and can work with many threads and socket weld options with standard bore sizes. These wells work easily in welded setups and can include flanged wells with bar stocks. They use a double-welded body that keeps corrosion from being a threat and have no open joints inside or outside the body.

The thermowells are pressure-tight which means that they can manage setups where sensors cannot work with particular media forms. These may also be used to manage sensor replacements without draining processes. They offer users a good body that keeps the unit active and ensures it is always ready to work with care.
