IFM's Full metal inductive sensors are specifically designed to be used for hygienic and wet areas in the food industry. The sensor features a steam boiler test that checks the system for leaks, an improved range of overall sensing, an ample temperature measurement range of 0 to 100 degrees celsius. It also features an ingress protection that supports food-related housing elements. These "neat and clean" inductive sensors provides solution for most, if not all food industry-related technical issues. In addition, these inductive sensors are highly repellent to any strong cleaning mediums, and are capable of resisting various environmental conditions, including wet areas.

The IFM Full metal inductive sensors are ingressresistant in all operations. The T series are completely sealed in hygienic and moist areas, the R series are strong and sturdy in welding operations, and the C series are resistant to oils and coolant. Due to its full stainless metal composition, the sensing is more accurate with resistance to shock and impacts. Also, the stainless steel housing with or without non-stick coating helps the functionality of the sensor. The sealing used also ensures maximum production through protecting the sensor from the entry of moisture, and the sensors can be used for operations in metalworking and welding.

The ifm full metal inductive sensors are used in metalworking and welding industries. Is sensing face of the housing is made of stainless steel, and plastic which is resistant to collants, lubricants, and oil. It has a robust casing ranging from M8 to M30 and is resistant to shock and vibration as they have undergone vibration, shock, coolant, and impact tests. It is suited for compact machines as it only measures 40mm. It is aided by LEDS with a setting of quick adjustment and peak utilization of the sensing range, and its non-stick overlay makes the weld smear to slide off the sensor.
