Dwyer Pitot Tubes are ideally used with air velocity gauges and precision manometers as they are fully-constructed using stainless steel that is corrosion-resistant, granting the product a lifetime service. To achieve maximum accuracy through the various flow conditions, AMCA and ASHRAE specifications have been considered with regard to the ASME design. Because the ASHRAE tip design produce a calibration factor of only one, the need for correction factors is notably eliminated. Moreover, the ASHRAE design does not need any calibration anymore.

Facilitating accurate positioning, there are permanent and stamped insertion depth graduations installed on all sides of the 160 series. There is also a static pressure port available just parallel to the sensing tube, making the alignment of the tube and airflow quick and easy. Even when the tube does not follow the alignment for 15 degrees maximum, the device is less sensitive to the misalignment and still gives accurate readings.

Different sizes are available, with ducts measuring 4" in diameter to as large as 36ft. A universal model is also supplied.
