The Xenius XM was developed by Safas, and is a microplate reader spectrofluorometer with a stirring speed that goes up to 1320rpm. It guarantees a 100% air technology which does not require fiber optics, therefore resulting in improved energy and sensitivity. Designed with a completely autocalibrating feature, the instrument is also fitted with a double optical plane technology for improved results. It can also measure even with its compartment opened, which works well with manual injections.

Measurement technologies and the types of samples are simultaneously available without dismantling the product. With four injection heads in measurement position and with 10 vertical cuvettes, the instrument can accept up to 15 auto-injectors, with auto-priming/washing, and 6-way valves. Polarizers fitted with autocalibration standard are also optionally available.

The SAFAS Xenius XOF offers good sensitivity and performance in fiber optics situ measurements. This spectrofluorometer is based on innovative technologies and optics and is therefore able to reach high sensitivity levels with a high amount of reproducibility. For many applications, it’s able to work with the sample compartment opened, without involving flash lamp drawbacks. The maximum scan speed is 7,000-nm per minute, which is high enough so that the XOF can achieve emission, excitation, 3D spectra, and synchronous with data processing functions. The first spectrofluorometer with grating monochromators was introduced by SAFRAS in 1959. At that time, it was a large breakthrough in spectroscopy, and now the Xenius is following in its footsteps. Many options available are with this device, including ten temperature-controlled and stirred cuvettes on which kinetics can be achieved.
