The 32-bit SmartController from IFM is a low-cost, mini-controlled unit especially designed and developed for use in mobile applications. SmartController is used as the main mini-controller for smaller machines and applications, and apart from this, it can also act as an I/O module for complex control systems, where it has the potential to carry out sensor signal pre-processing in a decentralized manner.The system can be extended through two powerful CANopen interfaces that allow for a relatively successful implementation of applications as well as flexible networking. These interfaces assist in carrying out the exchange of data between a SAE J1939 data engine and CANopen quite easily. SmartController has the power to be independently and easily programmed with CODESYS 2.3 to IEC 61131.
