Electromagnetic particle clutch and brake
The unit is an EMP disc brake that has EMP powder which reacts to the variation of a magnetic field produced by a coil. Varying the viscosity of the EMP powder enables the user to manipulation the relay of torque between the primary rotor and the secondary rotor. When the secondary rotor is clamped to the structure of the unit, the element acts as a brake. When the secondary rot is free to turn, the element acts as a clutch.The torque output of the unit is equal to the electric current. It provides a stable torque with minimal sound pressure levels and residuals. The model turns bidirectionally, and has a rapid response time. It also has a long service life.
