Motorized micromanipulator / 4-axis - Quad

Quad, the newest Sutter Instrument motorized micromanipulator, is easy-to use and features four independent axes. Each axis has a 25 mm range of motion, a digital display of position and an ROE control. The compact, intuitive controller takes up minimal bench space, is fan free and is easy to use.
Three axes provide the X, Y, Z-orthogonal motion typical of most motorized micromanipulators. In the Quad, Sutter introduces a true fourth axis to move the electrode coaxially at exactly the desired angle of approach. The fourth axis also significantly extends the range of travel for the system.

The MP-265/M "narrow format" mechanical is the latest addition and it is specifically intended for patch-slice manipulator systems that need 2 or 3 pipettes, 4 or more manipulators or other setups where there is a limit in the availability of space.

The MP265/M mechanical uses the current manipulator line in a number of ways. The narrow format allows the grouping of additional manipulators around a recording chamber. The narrow format also ensures the current setup of the high precision manipulator can be inserted into small areas. Lastly, the Y-axis travel is shortened (12.5 mm) both to save on width and travel distance because radially oriented manipulators don’t have to travel a long distance.

A special price is offered for 4, 5 and 6 manipulators, and 2 or 3 dual manipulator controllers.

The MPC-200 controller is capable of working with 1 or 2 optimized mechanicals namely the MP-285 and the MP-225 as well as the narrow format MP-265. A secondary controller is utilized in cases where 2 manipulators do not suffice. This controller is daisy chained to enable the single ROE-200 to be moved to a maximum of 4 manipulators. The Kinematic Base 6KB is utilized for repeated positioning of groups of units, mounted on its platform. A platform has M6 mounting holes.
