The ST9 eco high-precision cross stage allows two ST9 linear stages to be mounted to the XY-stage without any additional plates. These units are equipped with motor and connector and are available with or without Pollux II controller on each axis, if another controller is to be used. They are capable of maximum speed of 40 mm/s, spindle pitch of 1 mm, with field oriented control featuring a position resolution of 1/300,000 per revolution close to 3 nm in length. The rotor unit is equipped with a passive damping, enabling smooth operation. This model features a ground fine thread spindle, stainless and ground steel bearings, recirculating ball bearings for maximum load and short construction length and a new stepper motor, designed to provide added dynamics and extra torque, even when operating at high speeds. Additionally, this model is provided with RS-232 and CAN open interface, high magnetic GMR end switch and features excellent heat dissipation, due to unique motor control.
