It can be controlled by an electrochemical component and is guaranteed the absolute accuracy when it comes to the rotating movement of the tables. Spindle group can combine the piece rotating movement with a overturning movement; both of them are controlled by brushless motors with resolvers. RT 450 is a surface grinding machine with horizontal wheelspindle , specially designed for use in the toolroom and for precision work in the grinding shop. Fitted with selected equipments this machine can guarantee performances with very close tolerances. A wide range of accessories can make this machine suitable to the most different exigencies, although, in its standard equipment, it incorporates all the necessary basic features. With its versatility, the RT 450 can perform different types of grinding work, such as:

The wide reputation APN-ALPA has gained all over the world as manufacturere of surface grinders, is mainly due to the popularity of these two models, wich enjoy a success earned over decades of experience, research and developmente. Desing structure include such exclusive features as the hydrolift to cross slideaways and the external location of the hydraulic and electric unit; the wheelhead traversing system is arranged to ensure the necessary rigidity in all the positions and to provide absolute sensivity. The longitudinal traverse of table, the cross slide traverse anche the wheelhead downfeed are completely automatic. A wide range of ancillary equipements is available on request: wheel turning and forming devices, vertical grinding attachments (see specific catalogue), swaft separators, manetic chuck, automatic cycle attachments. Model RT 1000 and RTL 1000 differ from models RT 700 and RTL 700 for table lenght. Furthermore, in order to guarantee a better stability, the cross slide has been equipped with two more flat slideaways with hydrolift.

The two types of vertical spindle surface grinders illustrated in this catalogue have a double column structure; the base and fixed column are made of a single casting; the movable column pivots on the base by means of big precision bearings and is provided on the upper part with a support working in oil bath. The spindle rotates on special selfadjusting bearings. The vertical fine feed is obtained through a sensitive drum graduated in 0,01 mm. The Tire Grinder provides portable grinding onsite. It is designed to regrind tires, trunnions and rollers on kilns and large vessels, and can resurface any size tire or roller, floating or fixed, while the rotary equipment is running.
Much faster than conventional grinding, our Tire Grinder offers easy set-up with a rigid scissors mount and both an X and Y feed. The belt is easily changed and is wider for greater surface exposure plus its longer length dissipates heat better for longer portable grinding machine life. The servo control is easy to operate and the Tire Grinder is powered by an electric motor.
