This is a stacker cranes manufactured by Mecalux is designed for automated storage of materials. This is an efficient equipment because it travels along aisles of warehouses which are hard to go to. It comes with a management software system which controls all the activities within the whole warehouse. Also, each of the stacker cranes can adjust on the certain requirements of each of the warehouses in terms of load capacity, dimensions, building height and cycle times. It comes with an automated operation when it comes to the exit and entry of a product. In addition, it can work with system having a special workng condition such as freezing temperatures or extreme cases of humidity.

The storage assembly comprises a centrally-positioned aisle, a stacking crane that moves on the aisle and two storing racks for varied boxes and trays on either side. Conveyors are used to pick and handle the materials to be stored. These conveyors are stationed either at the side or at the end of the racks.
The system follows an efficient course of action. The box taken down from the rack is placed on the conveyor which takes it to the operating personnel. The personnel completes the required task and the box is returned to its designated place via the stacking crane. The entire operation is smoothly controlled by a state-of-the-art software package, devised especially for managing warehouse storage systems. The software has the location of all materials stored in its memory. It also keeps track of inventory in real time.
The system works on the principle of "product to operator".
