The Motoman EP4000N 'Expert Press' robot is a six-axis, high-speed, shelf-mounted manipulator. It has been specifically designed to deal with press tending and material handling applications. The vertically articulated and high-performance robot has a 200 kg (441 lb) payload, a vertical reach of 2,629 mm (103.5") and a horizontal reach of 3,505 mm (138"). Throughput production is increased and cycle times are reduced due to the fast axial speeds.

The EP4000N robot has a press pitch of 6.5 m (21.33 ft), achieving 12 strokes per minute. It can service presses with press pitches up to 9 m (29.53 ft) with its extended reach. The EP4000N can service multiple presses and work in tight spaces due to its slender design.
