E56973 U.L. recognized and 016386-0-000 C.S.A. certified, this device is designed for maximum heater life, heat transfer, temperature and Watt density. It is used in Shoe machinery, Platens, Plastic molding, hot adhesive, heat sealing and Die making industries. The quick transfer of heat generated by the resistance wire to the outside sheath for dissipation determines a cartridge's useful life. Elements with moderate and low watt density like the standard line from Hotwatt are used in the conventional method for the insertion of helical coils in ceramics. This method is satisfactory because even though the temperature of the wire relative to the temperature of the sheath is considerably higher the difference in temperature is still low enough to ensure longevity and safe working standards. The heat transfer from the resistance wire into the sheath is accelerated by the cartridge heater from Superwatt. The relocation of the wire so that it is close to the sheath accomplishes this. The heater’s outside diameter is swagged.
