The 634 and 634M shutoff valves are made to keep pressure levels controlled through a containment process. This uses a valve in one of two ways. The Type 634 vale is an internal registration valve and 634M uses external registration. The 634 works between pressure reducing regulators and downstream items while the 634M model needs a control line and works upstream of a pressure-reduction control valve.
