The Flowserve AFV axial flow suspended vertical shaft pump comes in a single stage propeller type design. These pumps are specifically manufactures for low head movement of water for a number of municipal, agricultural and industrial operations. The Axial flow propeller consists either of 3 or 4 vanes which are balanced hydraulically through pressure equalizing balance holes and top propeller hub wear ring that minimizes axial down thrust.
The Outer flanged columns are sealed together via bolts and alignment is secured through the centering of fits on all components. Its Flared suction bell delivers smooths waterway entry to the impeller and has inner splitters that minimize inner swirl and entrance losses. Meanwhile, the durable case with integral diffuser vanes can be made be single-piece casting or a simple fabrication.
