Description
The use of the high performance magnetic belt filter plants is the separation of ferrous, magnetic particles from cutting emulsions and grinding oils. Magnetic belt filters can be operated in full flow or in bypass mode, and work with full automation.
A special feature of this highly efficient technology is the separation of very fine chips without filter aid. The Herding MBF systems offer modular expansion options for volume flows up to 8000 lpm.
Herding MBF system concept
Very strong permanent magnets installed underneath the flow bed generate the magnetic field. The medium being cleaned is conveyed homogeneously via a distributor unit to the flow bed, designed as a sloped bed, and flows to the lower end. The fine ferrous particles remain on the flow bed and form a filter cake. Depending on the design, the discharge of the filter cake is carried out either manually or automatically.
