Siemens 3EQ surge arrester has been engineered in tubular design where the silicone is directly molded onto the FRP tube. This offers remarkable mechanical stability along with a good sealing system for prevention of moisture and other discharges. This equipment comes with optimal safety even in the case of short circuit that might be caused due to internal or external causes. As much as 75 % of mechanical stability remains intact after short circuit, thus this equipment can be used as post insulator. It is very light in weight and very suitable for such zones that have seismic activities, wind loads etc.
