Fiber optic tester
DescriptionThe condition of an optical fiber can easily be checked with the fiber tester FIBERCHECK by coupling in good visible laser light.
Functional principle
If the beam hits a damaged part, most of the light is scattered out of the fiber. In this way a broken fiber can easily be recognized.
Following the same principle, the fiber will also light up when it is bent at such a tight radius that the conditions for total reflection inside the fiber are no longer given.
