For automatic machines there often is the necessity to receive a switch signal at specific piston positions of a pneumatic cylinder. This task is performed by magnetic cylinder sensors from ipf electronic, which are now available in new versions. The pistons of the pneumatic cylinders are provided with a ring magnet, whose magnetic field penetrates the non-magnetizable housing materials. In this way, the position of a piston can be requested through the cylinder wall.
The new cylinder sensors MZA7 with integrated amplifier from ipf electronic are extremely reliable and very robust. Due to a new mounting system, the cylinder sensors MZA7 can be better positioned in the mounting groove. The housing of the cylinder sensors is made of zinc die-cast, the electronic system works without contact and thus is free from wear. The compound ensures high impermeability and moreover protects the board from possible impacts. In addition, it ensures insertion from the top, so that the installation is significantly simplified. Furthermore, the new mounting mechanism guarantees an extremely secure grip.
