The HL-G1 Series is a self-contained and compact laser displacement sensor that has a built-in digital display and controller. It has a high-flex cable and miniature size that allow usage in a moving apparatus that gives high resolution measurement in different process level applications.

It has features that include voltage and current analog signals, RS-442/RS485 communication and three bipolar discrete outputs which make the HL-G1 series full of I/O options.

The LD laser edge detection sensors utilize a red semiconductor laser and CCD receiver combination mounted in the same enclosure to provide high-accuracy measurement, with either a class 1 or class 2 type laser element available. Stable sensing over extended periods are attained by the integration of the shade correction function that counteracts receiver sensitivity variations and generates uniform sensitivity. These sensors are available with four sensing methods that include edge and width measurements in either light or dark mode, and have a 15 mm sensing width, and senses objects with a minimum of 0.5 mm diameter (11 μm resolution).
