A hassle-free user-interface, simple architecture, and reliable functionality are achieved in the new Yokogawa SMARTDAC+ data acquisition and control product series. SMARTDAC+ begins with the new GX and GP data acquisition stations. The GX10/GX20 is a paperless recorder that provides intuitive operation through a touch screen. SMARTDAC'S modular architecture supports a wide array of input/output modules. On the other hand, the GP10/GP20 is a portable paperless recorder that retains the core functionality of GX10/GX20 while still usable on the desktop. One of the new features is the fully modular I/O design. Analog input, digital input, and relay output functions are handled by independent modules that can be installed in any available slot on the rear of the unit, and in any combination.

Paperless videographic recorder - FX1000
The FX1000 is a Paperless Recorder that displays real-time measured data on a color LCD and saves data on a CompactFlash memory card (CF card*1). It can be hooked up to network via Ethernet, which enables to inform by Email and to monitor on Web site as well as to transfer files by using FTP. Also, it can communicate with Modbus/RTU or Modbus/ TCP. It comes with a two, four, six, eight, ten-channel or twelve-channel model. As the input signal, a DC voltage, thermocouple, resistance temperature detector, or contact signal can be set to each channel. The data saved on a CF card or the data transferred via networks can be converted by data conversion software or ASCII format file, facilitating processing on a PC. Not only this, the viewer software allows a PC to display waveforms on its screen and to print out waveforms.

In this way, this paperless recorder meets requirements of DFA 21 CFR part 11. The first aspect that stands out in the design is the color display, of 5.7", which can show various measured data in different formats, including bar graphs, diagrams or simple numbers.
Next, the security manager is integrated and ensures the device is only operated by authorized persons. In addition to this, the audit trial manager is also integrated and helps document all operating actions closely.
