The GX7944 is a single-slot embedded cPCI Express 3U controller for use with Geotests GX7600 PXI Express chassis. When combined with the embedded storage peripherals of the GX7600 Series chassis, it is the ideal solution for a compact, high performance, and integrated PXI Express chassis / controller configuration.

Configuration

The GX7944 controller supports multiple peripherals and I/O interfaces through either the controllers front panel or the rear I/O panel of the GX7600 Series. Connection to the DVD-RW drive and hard drive is via the controllers internal I/O interface. The controllers front panel I/O is provided with a factory default configuration and is fully functional in any PXI Express or cPCI Express chassis.

The GX7944 embedded system controller adheres to the PXI Express and cPCI Express specifications and is PICMG EXP.0 R1.0 compliant.

The GX7927 is a single-slot 6U controller for use with Geotests GX70xx and GX71xx series chassis. The GX7927 offers multiple peripheral connections including USB, Ethernet, COM and VGA. When combined with the embedded storage peripherals of the GX70xx and GX71xx Series chassis, it is the ideal solution for a compact, high performance, and integrated PXI chassis / controller configuration. Additional flexibility is provided by the two front panel accessible PMC / XMC slots, which can accommodate a variety of interfaces and functions for specific applications or needs.

Configuration

The GX7927 controller supports multiple peripherals and I/O interfaces through either the controllers front panel or the rear I/O panel of the GX70xx or GX71xx Series chassis. Connection to the DVD-RW drive and hard drive is via the controllers internal I/O interface. The controllers front panel I/O supports VGA, one USB 2.0 port, two Gigabit Ethernet ports and one COM 3 port. Additional USB, VGA, COM and Ethernet connections (chassis model dependent) are available on the rear panel of the GX70xx and GX71xx chassis via the controllers rear I/O interface. The GX7927 features two PMC / XMC slots which support 64-bit PCI, 133 MHz in PCI-X mode or PCI Express x8 (Gen2, 2.5 Gbit/s) for XMC applications.

Features

Since PXI-Express is based on the industry-standard PCI-Express bus, the MXIe-Express Bus Expanders provide a transparent link where all PXI and PXI-Express modules appear to the user as if they were PCI or PCI-Express boards within the computer itself. However, with PXI technology, users benefit from an increased number of slots, power and cooling per slot, module selection, and synchronization features. The MXIe-Express employs a high speed

The SCC-04/TTL module of ACTIS Computer S.A. is a 4-channel serial communication controller according to the VITA-4 specification. This module provides four asynchronous (up to 76.8 kbaud) and synchronous (up to 2 Mbaud) full-duplex channels, with an independent baud rate generator for each channel. The SCC-04/TTL supports TTL level serial interfaces.

The SCC-04/TTL module is based on two enhanced ESCC Z85230, with deeper FIFO and several SDLC improvement than the usual Z8530 Serial Communication Controllers (SCC) from Zilog.
