Jergens presents USAE™ heavy duty flat washers. USAE is a combination of USS and SAE.
A USAETM washer is a simple yet effective concept, which has been in need for a long time.
The outside diameter is in conformance with USS standards. When compared to standard hardened washers, the washer has up to 36% larger area. The increased contact area results in increased holding power. The inside diameter is in conformance to SAE standards. A more accurate fit on bolts, studs, etc. is achieved by this reduced internal diameter. In comparison to standard hardened washers, USAE washers provide more strength thanks to their 37% more thickness.
The USAE™ washers have a mild steel body with a black oxide finish and the case is hardened to 60 HRc. To enable quick identification, every washer has the bolt size stamped on it.
