The EA pluggable interface cards, represent a unified solution for current and future devices, and can be used in various situations. They feature a simple "plug&play" installation procedure (some restrictions must be observed when using two cards at once), and immediately provide RS232 CAN GPIB Ethernet USB Profibus or a parameterisable analogue interface, with little or no configuration requirements. These cards feature galvanic isolation up to 2000 V and include digital variants (for CAN, USB, RS232, GPIB, Ethernet or Profibus) that are ideal for the control and monitoring of multiple devices, and also provide networking capabilities. The PSI 9000 series also features the gateway functionality, allowing simple and easy PC control of CAN bus systems via USB or RS232 interface.

The PCIe standard PC card is equipped with all necessary features to start using the advanced features of Altera CycloneIV-GX family. The testing requirements are also met, with the help of a Sopc-Card board.

The PCIe comes in standard size, with up to 53 user input/output digital channels, 3.3V LVTTL standard, each one with an independent sense, as well as drive, bi-directional and tri-state sensibilities. It has a single 3.3V power supply voltage, with wake up support, one user input clocks signal and two output clocks signals, both with dedicated PLL and 3.3V LVTLL standard. It is a boot device, with one Test Access Port, power supply monitor and reset circuities, and board crystal oscillator each. The 2 MB SRAM module is optional, and the device is compliant with the JTAG/IEEE 1149.1 boundary-scan standard blaster connector.
