The VDM SERIES manufactured by Vulcan Couplings are ideally designed for marine propulsion, pumps, fans and other industrial applications. It is perfect for light to medium duty operations because it is suitable in a number of applications. These mounts have superb vertical isolation, thus can be utilized for freestanding propulsive engines or power generators. It is crafted with a top cover that prohibits direct contact of oil and various contaminants with the internal rubber element which in turn increases lifetime and safety.

A deflection restraint is present which restrains upward vertical movement and radial motion. Its torque range from 0.20 kN to 10.50 kN.

The VULKAN Couplings CV2000 Series has a torque range from 5.00kN up to 27.00kN. Commonly used in applications such as light, medium and heavy machines and equipment, electric motors, combustion engines, pipelines, equipment cabinets and automotive applications, the annular buffers are shaped like a ring and have rubber and metal parts with a collar on one of the two metal plates for cantering.

They are commonly subject to compression and shearing stress. These buffers are used as flexible mounts where there is expected to be force and are usually used in pairs that decompress against each other. They are commonly installed between the machinery support and the base frame to absorb tensile and compressive forces.

WEAR™ (Wire Energy Absorbing Rope) pipe restraints are uniquely packaged wire rope isolators designed to protect structures from steady state vibration and isolate them from seismic and dynamic loads. These new generation energy absorbing restraints feature simple construction. There are no oils, seals or complex moving parts required to perform their function. The design has eliminated the problems often associated with hydraulic or mechanical restraints which are complex and prone to failure.

The Wire Rope Isolator, which is the basic element of the technology has been successfully used by the military for more than 25 years. As a result, it conforms to government and military quality control requirements. The restraint is thus exempt from surveillance testing. In-place visual inspection is all that is required to assure operability. The WEAR™ can be provided with a wide range of piping accessories and can be supplied to ISO 9001, Mil-Q, Mil-I, B31.1 or ASME Section III subsection NF.

For effective isolation, they feature a patented crimping pattern and come with a variety of sizes and mounting options.
