The RG Series manufactured by Varvel is a low-backlash planetary reducer that was specifically developed for two and three stages. They have hardened and tempered steel casing and broached internal gear. They are made of carburized alloyed steel with the input and output flanges of drawn aluminum. Designed to comply with the current ISO engineering structure specifications, the casing is checked by computer-aided structural analysis for deflection and stress distribution.
The planetary gearboxes provide excellent accuracy. They have an angular backlash less than or equal to 8 minutes of arc for one stage and less than or equal than 12 minutes of arc for two stages.
This series is available in four different sizes, namely RG050, RG070, RG090 and RG120.
