The unit is an angular contact bearing with a body fully made of ceramic. The generally used ceramic ball is a ball made of silicon nitride due to its hardness. The unit provides elevated RPMs due to its non-porous ball surface, and as well as having lower weight. It is ideal for use in a wide variety of operations such as cryopumps, medical equipment, semiconductors, equipment tools, turbine flow meters, food processing machines, robotics and optics. Ceramic element usually used in angular contact bearings are silicon nitride, zirconia oxide, alumina oxide, and as well as silicon carbide. The unit has minimal coefficient of friction, and is hard, thus gives them a long service life. It also has thermal characteristics, thus having reduced heat generation.
