The 719-E (VEB) and 70-E (VEX) series of the new SKF super-precision bearings have been designed for exceptional high operational speeds. They are known for their high degree of stiffness, extended bearing service life, compact cross section, relatively high load carrying capacity and low heat generation. The high-speed E design bearings have a higher speed capability and can accommodate heavier loads compared with the high-speed B design bearings.
High reliability and superior accuracy are offered by the 719-E (VEB) and 70-E (VEX) series for applications such as milling machines, internal grinding machines, high-speed machining centers and woodworking machines. An extended range is available. For the 719-E (VEB) series, open bearings can accommodate shaft diameters which range from 8 to 120 mm and sealed bearings from 20 to 120 mm.

These SKF contact ball bearings in the S719..B (HB../S) and S70..B (HX../ S) series can be mounted and sealed instantly in a precise angle. It is capable of delivering high speed, high stiffness, lifetime service, low heat generation and compact cross section. These bearings provide quality performance in applications that requires reliability and accuracy. It uses a high speed grease for the bearings while the non-contact seals maintain the grease and the contaminants out with the lowest temperature rise without compromising the speed. SFK's ball bearing with automated positioning function, is specifically designed for applications where shaft deflections or misalignment are common dilemmas. It has the least friction effect among all rolling bearings types, allowing it to run cooler at increased speed rates. SKF presents a large selection of high-precision angular contact ball bearings in terms of types, designs and number of sizes. The bearings cover shaft diameters from 8 to 320 mm which is used in virtually every machine-tool application as well as other precision bearing arrangement which involves use of high-precision angular contact ball bearings. Single row SKF high-precision angular contact ball bearings (fig) are non-separable.
Similar to all angular contact ball bearings, SKF bearings include raceways in the inner and outer rings that are displaced with respect to each other in bearing axis direction. This makes the bearings to accommodate axial loads in one direction besides radial loads. The axial forces produced from T radial loads in these bearings need to be balanced by counter forces. Compact design of bearing units makes high speed and rigidity possible. Preload on the bearing can be changed in two to three steps according to the spindle rotational speed. It is possible to select a heavy-loading mode in the slow speed range, and the most suitable shaft rigidity and machining conditions in the high speed range with light preload. The grooved shaft design solved the rise of preload due to the compact design of the spindle and the expansion of the bearing inner ring at high speed.

Boundary dimensions are equal to the ISO standard series, but super high speed revolution using air-oil lubrication can be obtained. Bearings also operate under high acceleration conditions.
