The multi-axis tilt platform allows optical components to be adjusted in many tilt and rotation forms. These are kinematic and use hardened and polished steel ball pivots with spherical-tipped adjustments for steel seats. The Model 36 option has an elevation tilt adjustment feature and can be adjusted in rotation. This is to keep the mounting platform right at the kinematic pivot point. It works as a pointer and has components identical to micrometers with an azimuth adjustment.
The components that are mounted on the other side can be rotated in the same plane.
