The elevating transfer vehicle, or the storage and retrieval vehicle, is manufactured for transporting, storing and retrieving ULDs in racking. The unit has a horizontal and vertical flow pane, and a unidirectional flow direction.

The vehicle is provided with a lift, and the power supply required in this operation. This also features three-dimensional handling, space-saving, minimal adjustments onsite, and performs with care.

The Kardex Remstar Shuttle XP 1000 is an automated vertical lift with a maximum capacity of 1,000kg per tray. Its compact design makes use of available room height, increasing efficiency for the storage, distribution and retrieval of products. The design allows for a saving of up to 80% of the space typically required for shelving. The XP 1000 can be set up at the customer’s location as either part of a multi-story solution or as a standalone unit. It allows for several access openings up to a 20m level, and is fully compatible with other products in the XP line.

Faster access to goods allows for improved productivity. The design features also provide safety and protection to both stored goods and personnel.

Optimum storage density, flexible efficient storage strategies and safe fatigue-free working: the Shuttle XP combines unique specifications to produce one system that precisely meets individual local requirements and conditions. Its success recipe in a nutshell: efficiency through OptiFlex.

Optimised storage density
The user can assign the maximum storage height to every shelf. The smallest storage spacings in the high bay warehousing system are achievable by using almost stepless pitches with a spacing of only 25 millimetres. Using an electronic height measuring system, all stored goods are measured automatically and stored accordingly. Higher items are detected during storage and indicated by a message on the operator panel. An intelligent control system that moves at speeds of up to 2.3 metres a second allows controlled access to the stored goods.

Flexible efficient storage strategy
The modular design of the Shuttle XP ensures almost unlimited flexibility in the utilisation of various room heights. The Shuttle height can be chosen in 100 millimetre steps, so that the Shuttle XP always meets the capacity and height requirements to an optimum extent. Even if you change locations or move to a different site, it can be adapted quickly to the new requirements by adding or removing modules.

Adapting to the building situation
When installed through several floors, access openings can be integrated at any point on the front or rear of the Shuttle XP.

The inside of VLM has defined sequencing that improves the output. The Shuttle XP multiple is suitable in places that are compact and where two independent systems cannot be configured.

Any place that is steep, not in proper shape and very small could be utilized to maximum by lowering and keeping only single opening. Hence, the area needed for moving is reduced by more than 50 percent while comparing to the independent units. While this happens, the next order is taken at the additional window while the system prepares one more tray for producing in the background.

The standard dimensions of the Shuttle XP multiple could be utilized as an independent system relying on the need and could be made to flexible to form a complex system.
