High-temperature ultrasonic transducer
The Dual Element Transducers, assembled by Olympus, are flaw detectors having a Pseudo-Focus mechanism that improves the resolution in the focal area. The dual angled components of the device produce a V - Shaped sound path in the test material. The product is made up of two crystal components enclosed in the same housing but separated by an acoustic barrier. This apparatus from Olympus features an exclusion of the delay line multiples in cases of high temperatures. Reduction on direct back-scattering noise in fine grained or dispersing materials is another highlight of the product. Moreover, it is capable of integrating penetration capabilities of a lower frequency single component transducer with the nearby surface resolution capabilities of a higher frequency single element transducer.
