The WGD Burner, manufactured by Eclipse Low NOx, is a compact, water-cooled burner designed to be inserted to into the port neck of regenerative glass furnaces. It uses a different kind of arrangement in gathering flat jet nozzles. This burner also produces a fan-shaped flame that guarantees high heat transfer and low NOx resulting to excellent flame coverage of the glass.The flame location can be adjusted within the surface to ensure the occurrence of combustion at an ideal location. Users can also withdraw the burner from the surface, when not firing, by fitting the WGD Burner to an Eclipse retraction mechanism. All these may, in turn, lead in reduced fuel consumption, as well as refractory savings.
